Our bodies are currently out of balance. This section sums everything up and offers a reframe to ensure sustained progress.

03.1 - Restoring the Balance

The aim of this RESET is to train the body to access a more regulated state more consistently. This Blue Brain mindset allows us to manage our emotions. access logic and reasoning and reflect on the cause and effect of our behaviour.

 

03.2 - Breath

Diaphragmatic breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system and helps our bodies to shift our physiological state. When we are able to access calm, we are more able to project calm and help others to do the same.

 

03.3 - The Neurochemical Cocktail

 

Our bodies are our biological resource. We need to learn how to release helpful neurochemicals into the body that promote health, growth and restoration.

  • Focusing on what’s going well and prioritising ‘play with pets, friends and family members releases oxytocin and relieves stress

  • Taking a combination of Omega 3 and Vitamin D supplements enhances serotonin production. Serotonin enhances mood, helpful thoughts and gut health

  • Moving more in achievable ways releases endorphins and alleviates stress and discomfort

  • Setting realistic, achievable goals releases dopamine and improves mood, memory and attention

03.4 - Simple Ways to Cultivate Calm

 
  • Epsom salts in the bath sedate the nervous system.

  • Lavender oil in a diffuser or on clothing has a calming effect on the nervous system

  • Recommended daily allowance of Omega 3 and 6 nourishes the brain and nervous system. Chewy supplements for children decrease hyperactivity, impulsiveness, restlessness and aggression. Our brains consist of roughly 60% fat, and we need more healthy fats in our daily diet to nourish the brain effectively
